Privacy

Your information stays yours.

What we collect

When you join, we collect your name, email, preferred meetup area, consent, and any optional last name, city, ZIP code, child age range, referral, or volunteer interest you choose to provide. We also keep RSVP and attendance records. We don’t ask for children’s names or diagnoses.

Why we use it

We use these details to welcome you, arrange gatherings, send updates you asked for, manage your RSVP, and understand which parts of Greater Austin need meetups. Contact form information is used to respond and manage requests.

Who can see it

Authorized community organizers can access information needed for their work. Hosting and email providers process information to operate the service. Partners and sponsors do not receive the member list. We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

Community emails require opt-in. RSVP emails are limited to the event you requested. You can unsubscribe from updates using the link in an email. You can ask to access, correct, or delete information through the contact form, using Privacy request. We’ll verify the request before releasing or changing a record.

Retention and security

We review inactive memberships after 24 months, keep identifiable RSVP records for 12 months after an event, and review contact messages after 90 days. Deletion requests are handled manually by an authorized organizer. Limited suppression or consent records may be retained to honor your choices or meet obligations. Access controls and encrypted transport protect records; no system can guarantee perfect security.

Technical information

The site uses essential infrastructure and short-lived, hashed rate-limit records to prevent abuse. We do not currently use advertising pixels or visitor tracking cookies. The hosting platform may maintain operational logs. Optional future analytics will be documented before activation.

Stories and photos

We ask separately before publishing an identifiable photo or story. No consent is implied by joining or attending. Stories involving children need additional care and permission; identifying details should be minimized.

Adult community

This site is intended for adults, not for children to register. Please don’t include sensitive health or child information in forms. Tell us through the contact form if you believe such information was submitted so we can address it.
